You can easily transfer files from your phone to your PC or laptop using Bluetooth by pairing your devices, sending the file from your phone, and receiving it on your computer without cables or additional software.
Step 1 — Enable Bluetooth on Both Devices
On Android/iPhone: Swipe down from the top of your screen to access Quick Settings (Android) or Control Center (iPhone) and tap the Bluetooth icon to turn it on
On Windows PC: Open Settings Devices Bluetooth & devices and toggle Bluetooth on
On Mac: Go to System Settings/Preferences Bluetooth and turn Bluetooth on
Make sure it’s discoverable.
Step 2 — Pair Your Devices
Windows PC: Click Add device under Bluetooth settings, then select your phone from the list of available devices
Confirm the passcode shown on both your phone and PC to complete pairing.
Mac: Select your phone under Bluetooth, verify the code, and confirm the pairing on both devices
Step 3 — Send the File from Your Phone
Open the file you want to transfer (photo, video, or document).
Tap and hold (or select) the file and choose Share.
Select Bluetooth as the sharing option
Choose your PC or Mac as the destination. Confirm any prompts on your phone.
Step 4 — Receive the File on Your Computer
Windows PC: Go to Settings Devices Bluetooth & devices Send or receive files via Bluetooth, then click Receive files before initiating the transfer on your phone. Choose the folder where you want to save the file
Mac: Enable Bluetooth Sharing in System Settings/Preferences Sharing, choose how to handle received files, and confirm the transfer when prompted
