In this video, I demonstrate how to tie the Swing Hitch knot which is the best knot to make a rope swing at home.

I received a comment recently asking "what is the best knot to hang a swing at home" and although a few options came to mind, I realized I had never done a video about the Swing Hitch. So here it is.
The Swing Hitch is a great knot to make a rope swing at home. It is basically a supersized Clove Hitch or modified Constrictor knot, but unlike the constrictor knot, it’s relatively easy to untie once the load has been removed.
For this video, I’ve left the tail end short so you can see the entire knot, but for practical use I’d make the tail a little bit longer and probably add a stopper knot to the end. Just to back it up a little and increase the safety.
