Tying the Double Dragon Loop Knot around an object. In my previous video of the Double Dragon Loop, I demonstrated how to tie the knot just as a loop knot: youtu.be/zEpQR3ScLvQ However there may be times when you want to tie the Double Dragon Loop knot around an object. Perhaps this may be the preferred method of tying the knot, as you then cover both variants in one knot?
The Double Dragon Loop is considered by many to be a superior loop knot compare to many other loop knots. One great advantage of the Double Dragon Loop is that it works extremely well in slippery rope such as Dyneema. Although I have not tested this, it is said that the Double Dragon Loop is relatively easy to untie, even if the knot has been heavily loaded.
I wonder if the is a good Bowline alternative.
