Here's a quick primer on determining whether your cutter is made of Tungsten Carbide of High Speed Steel. Carbide cutters can be run at much higher RPMs and can be damaged when run too slow. Carbide scrap is also very valuable, so being able to tell the difference between these materials is very helpful.
