This is a Tutorial on how to teach a horse to smile, these are my own methods & i change bits about to suit whatever horse i am training. Every horse is different, experiment, be open minded and don't be scared to try different things. I apologize for any spelling mistakes in this video, i forgot to look back over it.
What to Remember:
-Be in a good mood, don't expect you horse to be enthusiastic and want to learn if you are dull, be happy and encouraging in your body language and tone of voice.
- Keep every session to 10-15 mins and wait 15-30 mins before you do another. If you since your horses getting bored or really frustrated, stop and give them a break.
- Reward for Effort!
- Be patient and learn from your horse, they are the best teachers!
- Never force or get angry with your horse, trick training is about having fun, encouraging, adding commands to natural behavior and building up a partnership with your horse :)
- Don't worry about mistakes this is how we all learn!
