Consuming the required amount of fat on a medical ketogenic therapy can be challenging, especially for children. Using a food safe oral syringe to administer oil, similar to medications, is a method that works well for many families. We recommend starting with a small quantity of oil, about 2-3 grams, then slowly increase the amount working up to larger quantities. In the video, Charlotte calls oil her "meds". She is a pro at taking 10 grams of oil at once! She is now 15 years old, on a modified ketogenic therapy, and still takes MCT oil using this method daily.
