If you are seeking to find freedom from sin and are worn out by your effort of simply trying harder and experiencing defeat then I want to offer you something new to try, that is training for freedom instead of just trying harder. As I have done this in my life I have experienced freedom from sin where before I was simply stuck. This video will lay out a basic strategy to grow in from from sin so if this sounds like something that could be helpful to you then leets gets started.
1) Believe Jesus' Gospel (be captivated)
- "Rethink your strategy for life because Gods kingdom is now open to you" (Matthew 4:19 para)
Transforming/renewing our minds from the thought patterns of the world to the thought patterns of the kingdom
2) Practice Spiritual Disciplines (To love others)
- Train yourself to be godly" 1 timothy 4:7
- Use disciplines to grown in Godly character
3) Learn from daily life trials
Seek God and his heavenly kingdom in the middle of your daily life difficulties (mat 6:33). Seeing our trials as character tests and data for how our training in apprenticeship is going (ex: traffic, visiting elderly, etc) these are learning opportunities
