When you’re a kid, it sometimes feels like you’re the main character of a story or a video game, and that everyone around you is a non-player character, if you will. I’ve noticed that even though I'm now an adult, it feels like not only me, but everyone around me is turning back into NPCs–into non-player characters, like we’re all just mindlessly going through the motions of life like we’re Sims or something.

I’m hoping that if I share my experience with some of you who may be feeling the same way, just maybe you can pick the controller back up and become a Player again.
