How To Start Cantaloupe Seeds in Mini Greenhouses Using Winter Sowing Method. Watch as I sow my organic cantaloupe seeds into mini greenhouse containers to be grown out in the snow using Winter Sowing method. I show you MY specific procedure for maximal success and maximal germination.
I grew some gorgeous cantaloupes last year in containers, 5 gallon buckets. They were delicious. I also grew them vertically up a fence and yes they held the whole time!
You can use this method even if you don't have really cold or snowy winters. The benefits are many but most importantly you get seedlings sooner than people who grow them indoors. See below for more info on Winter Sowing.
