Split and Clone yourself in After Effects
Split yourself in half / into pieces
Cut yourself into pieces
In this upcoming After Effects Tutorial you will learn how to split yourself in half using adobe after effects and also interact with yourself.
I am going to show you how to set up camera and acting in order to create the best looking shot with the best result.
In this easy to follow tutorial I am showing you how to create the look of a clone effect in after effects. But I am also going to bring this one step further, by actually showing you how to create the split effect / slice effect.
Therefore you need to film different passes and then combine them with clever compositing if After Effects.
You will learn about masking, warping and many many workflow tips along the way, like time remapping, freeze framing and creating clean plates.
We will finalize the look with some color grading, as well as some special visual effects such as a chromatic aberration.
As a final step we will learn how to animate a organic natural handheld camera movement.
As always this will be done in an easy to follow flomotion way, where we built everything from scratch, so that also absolute beginners can follow along.
We will create 2 persons out of one with a unique appear effect. This can also be done with a smartphone and besides after effects you don't need any special equipment!
If you have any questions feel free to write them down in the comments below and I will answer all of them.
