Learn how to sign If and Then in BSL. This is an example of the importance of non-manual features (i.e. not your hands) in BSL as you don't need your hands at all. Use your face as grammar.
Tilt your head to one side and raise your eyebrows for "if" and then nod your head to the other side with lowered eyebrows for "then". These signs are often used together in sentences.
NOTE: You may see some signers fingerspell I-F. While this is common in everyday conversation, remember that the non-manual features (like raising your eyebrows) are the real "grammar" of the sign.
The example sentences in English are:
1. If it rains, then the party is cancelled.
2. If there's sunshine, then I'll go to the park.
