This video will show you how to show file extensions in Windows 8. This is actually different from how it is done in Windows 7 and earlier versions of Windows. Doing this will allow you to view and to change file extensions. For example you may wish to change a file from .spf to .txt so that it can be opened in more text programs if you know it is formatted in the same way as text files.
