Adorama | How to Shoot Great Vertical Videos with Aidin Robbins @Adorama | Uploaded May 2024 | Updated October 2024, 5 days ago.
As a filmmaker who is constantly shooting content, Aidin Robbins has learned one or two tips on shooting great vertical videos.
1. Actually shoot vertically: By not doing so, you’re missing out on two-thirds and the overall quality of your entire shot.
2. Keep vertical shooting in mind when purchasing gear: Look for cameras that can shoot wide angles (or use wide-angle lenses).
3. Watch out for distortion: Follow all the above steps to achieve the best quality vertical videos. Shooting horizontally or not having the proper gear could lead to distortion in uploading.
Aidin Robbins is a filmmaker based in the Carolinas. For the past 8 years, he has spent most of his time refining his style, searching for new spots to shoot, and waking up obscenely early to catch the sunrise. His passion for film has allowed him to work with clients like CamelBak and Beautiful Destinations, travel to countless locations, and build an online audience of over 400,000 people.
Fueled by a love for adventure and the outdoors, Aidin’s work is innovative and turns heads on social media. While he strives to share stunning visuals, storytelling is at the heart of everything Aidin creates.
