We all need ways to store our stuff, and things like pencils, cutlery, paint brushes and crochet hooks need something long and slim to keep them safe. Corinne Bradd shows you how to sew this easy wrap from two pieces of patterned fabric with a wrap strap tie. It is the perfect first project for a newbie stitcher that’s getting to grips with their machine.

A brilliant way to use up leftover fabric rectangles, these wrap pouches can be made any size to suit your needs. Try tiny ones for mini make up brushes, or go large and make one from sturdy canvas to use as an in-car tool kit. Once you’ve made one you’ll be looking around for more things to wrap!
