In this series I am making a costume for burlesque and drag performer Lola Lust, inspired by the Simpson's character Mr Sparkle. In this part, I show you how I make the skirt, attach it to top part of the dress, how to cut a straight hem using a laser lever, and how to sew a bag hem. Apologies for the camera going in and out of focus as I'm making the skirt pattern - I find I can't watch what I'm sewing and the screen of the camera at the same time so didn't notice it doing it as I was filming!
