Creating a Telegram bot takes less time than you think.
Start by messaging BotFather inside the Telegram web interface—verify it’s the real one.
Send the command to create a new bot, name it, and set the username.
The username must end in “bot.”
Once created, you’ll get an access token.
Copy that token and head to N8N.
Remove the default chat node, add the Telegram node, set it to trigger on message, and paste in your token as a new credential.
If the connection test passes, you’re good.
Send a message to your new bot.
If you see that message appear inside N8N, the integration is live.
Simple.
Functional.
Repeatable.
