Learn how to set up a custom ballistic profile for your TenPoint VISION HD digital rangefinding scope using the DNT Optics app. This guide walks you through every setting you'll need to enter — zero distance, scope height, twist rate, caliber, arrow weight, velocity, and ballistic coefficient — so the ballistic calculator works precisely with your crossbow and arrows.
0:00 Download the DNT Optics app
0:11 Open the ballistics tab and add a profile
0:28 Name your custom ballistic profile
0:43 Recommended 30-yard zero distance
0:52 Measuring scope height
1:03 Twist rate setting
1:07 Caliber and arrow weight
1:22 Velocity and ballistic coefficient
1:39 Save and pair with your optic
1:47 Next: pairing your VISION with the DNT app
How it works: Download the DNT Optics app, open the ballistics tab in the bottom right, and add a new profile under the default menu. Once it's named, enter your settings. TenPoint recommends a 30-yard zero distance for the ballistic calculator. Scope height is the measurement from the center of the lens to the center of your arrow — commonly between 3 and 3½ inches. TenPoint recommends a 1:12 twist rate. Caliber is your arrow's diameter, and weight is the total weight of your arrow including the broadhead. Leave length at the default 1.220 inches. Velocity is your arrow's speed in feet per second, and for ballistic coefficient, use 0.05 to 0.07 with a G7 coefficient. Save the profile, and you're ready to pair the calculator with your optic.
