In this video I show you the basics on using APRS to send email as well as SMS or Phone text.
I use a phone app called APRSDroid which you can download here: aprsdroid.org

You can use any APRS enabled radio to preform this operation, but you must be within range of an igate to get out from RF to email servers and Cell Towers.

To send an email, format your message by sending a message to Callsign : "EMAIL-2"
with the body formatted as "email here" "Body here"

To send a text message or SMS, format your message by sending a message to Callsign "SMSGTE"
with the body formatted as @"9digit phone number here" "message here"
