It can be so hard for self-publishing authors to figure out how to self-publish audiobooks. For starters, it can be expensive. Either we need to pay a professional (sounds amazing, but very expensive) or we have to self-narrate (may sound fine, but we have to invest in equipment and learn how to record and edit).
I have worked with professionals and done some self-narration.
I work with Findaway Voices and ACX. Starting late last year, I also created AI-narrated audiobooks with Google Play Books as a proof of concept to see if my audience would even want a professionally done audiobook for some of my books.
