Make sure to select Max Lens Mod 2 with GoPro Hero 12 and not the default Max Lens Mod.
My Hero 12 Black defaulted to the original Max Lens Mod when I tried to select it. Because of this I was only seeing 2.7K video. It took me an hour to figure out why, this video should save you some time.
Touch and hold the Max Lens Mod On option on the settings screen, then scroll UP to see Max Lens Mod 2.0. Once you have done this once it will be easy to toggle the Lens Mod 2.0 on and off with just one touch on the Settings screen.
