Mark your calendars: On April 8th, 2024, you might see a TOTAL solar eclipse. This will be the first solar eclipse viewable from the US since 2017!

You might think it would happen more often, since the moon rotates the earth roughly every 27 days, but the moon and earth’s orbit are misaligned by about 5 degrees, so the moon aligns perfectly in front of the sun only about twice a year.

Here's what you'll see depending on where in the world you are, and when other eclipses are coming to you.
