These “pancakes” are a simple, fast, and fun exercise to try to capture someone’s likeness from the side profile view using whatever type of clay you prefer. It’s an important step in the full portrait sculpting process that you won’t want to skip.
Assignment: Try to make 3 of these profile pancakes. You can submit your work by creating a free account at proko.com/portraitsculpt and posting a comment with images of your sculpture under the assignment video. Student work will be featured in critique videos so if you want your work featured be sure to do the assignment and submit it.
