Whether you are a landlord or property management company, it is important to know what to look for when screening tenants for your rental properties. In this video I cover some basics things to know and look for when screening potential tenants. One of the most important things I think you can do when screening is leveraging technology to make the process more efficient. With software like Appfolio, you can stream tenant applications and fees. There is software that can also conduct a tenant background check for you. I would highly recommend doing your research to find the right software that fits your needs. In the second half of the video, I talk about the inevitability of mistakes being made and bad tenants moving into your properties. In these instances, leveraging technology with software like Rentcheck can save you a lot of money in the long run by catching potential issues before they get out of hand.
