It's not hard to do, but there are a few things you need to know to screed sand for pavers the right way. In this video I'll show you the tools and materials you'll need, as well as tips on how to get the job done quickly and efficiently.

🔧 Tools
Screed Rails – 1" outside diameter square metal tubing
Spirit Level – To check level and slope of screed rails and surface
Screed Board – Flat 2x4 or aluminum screed board
Shovel – For moving and placing bedding material
Flat Rake – Helpful for spreading fine aggregates evenly
Trowel – Used to fill voids left by screed rails
Flat Broom – To reach and level out bedding material in voids
🧱 Materials
Bedding Materials:
ASTM C33 Sand / Washed River Sand – Moist, with up to ¼" pebbles
or
¼" Crushed Clean Aggregate – Washed, ideal for wet climates
