The Red Wolf is the most endangered canine in the world. Decades of persecution, hunting, and misinformation almost led to their extinction. But a recent breeding a reintroduction program has the potential to bring them back from the edge of oblivion - if we let it.
I traveled down to Bulls Island, part of the Cape Romain National Wildlife Refuge to tell this story, got to see red wolves at the Sewee Environmental Learning Center, and had one of my favorite wildlife experiences of all time. These are special animals and we should do everything we can to save them.
