***Things to Remember***
- For PC Matic to work to its full potential, we recommend that you remove any other antivirus software before using PC Matic with Super shield.
- There are two different scheduling options for a PC Matic scan: individual and master.
An individual scan is for a single device on your account. A master scan applies to all devices on your account.
- When setting the scheduled scan with the individual scheduler, each scan can run at different times, with different scan settings.
- The master scheduler will set the scan parameters for the scan that will run on all computers on the account, at the time designated.
- When a scheduled scan is running, there is no window that opens up and indicates a scan is running. This all happens in the background.
- For a scheduled scan to complete the computer needs to be powered on during the time the scheduled scan is set to run.
- Frequency: This is how often the scheduled scan will run. We recommend you run a weekly scan but you can set this to whatever you would like.
- Time: This is when you want the scan to take place.
- If you would like to get the results of the scan sent to you, click the box next to "email results" and type in the email address where you would like the results to be sent.
- Click "save" to finalize the scheduled scan.
- The scheduled scan will run at the appointed time as long as the computer is on and not in hibernation mode. If you checked the box to have results emailed to you, you will get an email notification stating if the scheduled scan was missed or completed.
