This video explains how to restore a concrete balcony with MAPEI’s concrete repair mortars. The first step is to repair the damaged concrete to a smooth and durable finish with Planitop 13 a one-component, polymer-modified and fiber-enhanced cementitious repair mortar and Mapecem Quickpatch. Finally, as a topcoat, the improved formulation, one-component, polymer-modified, cementitious material for the resurfacing of existing concrete to provide a like-new look to concrete surfaces, Concrete Renew, is applied to restore the aesthetic appearance of the balcony and provide an antislip surface. This coating can even be installed on concrete surfaces exposed to residential vehicular and pedestrian traffic, such as driveways, balconies, walkways, and poolside.
