In this clip, I show how I fixed a broken attic ladder hinge arm and spring. If your attic stairs won’t stay up or feel too heavy to lift, the spring could be the big problem.
I walk through how to remove the tension, replace or reattach the arm and spring, and get the ladder working smoothly again. This is a simple DIY repair, but be careful because these springs are under A LOT of tension.
