If you’re looking for help to repair your 2019 ISLE Adjustable Paddle, you’ve come to the right place.
This video will help guide you through the repairs of the main areas where problems can arise: the top clamp, the base of the top clamp, the center anti-rattle clamp, and the bottom pin of the shaft of your paddle.
To repair the top clamp of the paddle,
use a Phillips head screwdriver to remove the screws on the clamp. Next, replace the old clamp with the new clamp. We recommend using the new screws as well.
If the base of the top clamp is cracked, use a heat gun or hair dryer around the base of the top clamp, until the glue is loose enough to pull the clamp off.
Then, apply 2-part epoxy, which you can find at your local hardware store. Before applying the epoxy, sand the shaft of the paddle for good adhesion. If there is excess epoxy on the shaft of the paddle, use a wet towel to wipe it clean.
If the middle anti rattle clamp is broken, remove the screw and pull off the clamp. Next, slide the new clamp on and adjust it until the circles on the shaft and the clamp align. Then, tighten the screw as needed.
To replace the bottom pin, use a flathead screwdriver to pry the existing cap off, then you can use pliers to pull the old pinhead out. After that, slide the new button in, and squeeze the ring to lower the pin into the shaft to line up the pin with the hole.
