Tutorial for removing and reinstalling the Rotary Hook and Positioning Finger on a Singer Model 401A sewing machine. (Part One is the Removal)
This same process can be used on Models 403A, 404, 500A, 503A and other Slant-Needle Machines.
Also showing and explaining how the parts work together and get their power.
How to mark the gears for re-meshing them during installation. Removal of set screws. How to check and/or set the Timing after installation if needed.
