You can recover deleted photos or videos on a Samsung Galaxy S26 using the Samsung Gallery Trash, Google Photos, cloud backups, or third-party recovery tools.
1. Using Samsung Gallery’s Trash (Recycle Bin)
Samsung Gallery has a built-in Trash feature that temporarily stores deleted media for up to 30 days:
Open the Gallery app.
Tap Menu (three lines or dots) → Trash.
Browse recently deleted photos or videos.
Select the items you want to restore and tap Restore to recover them to your gallery.
2. Using Google Photos
If your media was synced to Google Photos:
Open the Google Photos app.
Tap Library → Trash. Deleted items remain for 60 days.
Select the photos or videos to restore and tap Restore, which will return them to your gallery and albums.
3. Restoring from Samsung Cloud or OneDrive
If you have set up Samsung Cloud backup or Microsoft OneDrive:
Go to Settings → Accounts and backup → Samsung Cloud.
Check Gallery Sync or Restore options to recover deleted media.
Similarly, open the OneDrive app if automatic sync was enabled and restore your deleted files from the cloud.
