All the basics of purl knitting in this tutorial. Purling ends up looking exactly like the knit stitch, but you're using the opposite motion with your needles to make it. Combining the two methods lets you create awesome patterns and textures, so purling is essential. Once you've learned to knit and purl, then you can tackle anything!
