Install a snap button with me.
Hand crafting is also using the right tools for the right purpose.
Here, I'm hand setting a snap button using the OKA Factory Japan punch surface bought during my travel to Japan in 2024.
Here, I'm hand setting a snap button using a punch surface bought on Amazon. But you can find it on Etsy and AliExpress too:
- AliExpress: https://s.click.aliexpress.com/e/_EutRHas
- Amazon: amzn.to/4h8bigV
- Etsy Better pad: tidd.ly/481X7pG
1 - pierce the holes
2 - install the stud, and add the post (the make part going into the other female part), using the female punch and the back of the punching surface.
3 - install the snap cap (decorative exterior) with the socket (the female part) using the male punch and the debossed side of the punching surface.
4 - Done, congratz!
You'll see some folks using a press of some kind, but I don't have one due to the lack of room π
Have fun crafting!
