Learn how to say Genki? with Japanese accent.

Genki? (genki): In Japanese, it can be written as 元気?

The phrase ”Genki?" (元気?) means "How are you?" in English. It is the informal way to ask someone how she or he is.(friends or family)
The formal way to ask is "Ogenki desu ka?" (お元気ですか?). If you are not sure which expression you use, it is safe to use "Ogenki desu ka?", the formal way.

Be careful not to overuse "How are you?" in Japan as Japanese people do not say "How are you?" to someone who meet often or everyday.

(In English, How are you? is often used everyday, but in Japan, that's not necessarily true.)
