Most students use a breadboard to develop their circuit. Microcontroller ICs tend to get damaged when they are inserted / removed and so in this video I demonstrate a small "header board" (made using stripboard) that allows me to conveniently include the download socket and 2 resistors to program the microcontroller "in circuit".

In the video we take a brief look at how to download an RTTTL file (ring tone text transfer language), configure and then program a Genie Microcontroller.

I'm using a 4 Ohm loudspeaker, 3 x AA batteries (4.5 V) and an IRF3205 MOSFET. This outputs about 2.5 W of power. It's loud.
