You know that crusty white buildup on your aquarium lid and rim? 😬 Those hard water stains (aka calcium or mineral deposits) are often caused by splashing or sponge filter bubbles popping at the surface — but I’ve found a couple of simple ways to prevent it.
Follow along as I first show you how I clean off the hard water stains from my glass lid and plastic aquarium rim, as well as how the 2 methods I’ve used to try to stop the buildup from happening in the first place. None of these methods are perfect though, so let me know down in the comments if you’ve found a better technique to prevent hard water stains!
