💬 Learning how to ACCURATELY estimate sales for your game is a really crucial part of the pre-production process, if you're trying to find financial success with your games.
When deciding upon what your next game idea should be you should do this kind of analysis, again assuming you're trying to make a living from you're games, if you're just making games for fun you can ignore this.
And the most important part about this process is being HONEST with yourself. If you're a solo developer working on a First Person Shooter, do not assume you're game will sell as much as Call of Duty.
