When practicing a fast passage, play it as if it’s a nocturne. Be as lyrical and expressive with every single note, and play at a reasonably slow tempo.
This type of slow practicing is usually overlooked once the passage is "learned" enough to play at a reasonable tempo. If you put less focus on the speed and instead focus on listening to every single note, you will be able to increase your tempo in a manner that is in line with what you can handle with ease.
