There is a second solo mode, which is a bit of a chill puzzle mode without an opponent. You can either just try to achieve a score tier or you can attempt one of the scenarios. In this video, I go over how to play this puzzle solo mode of Canvas and then do a playthrough using one of the scenarios.
There was a section of the playthrough where I cut some downtime as I was trying to figure out what to do for my last few card choices. I accidentally switched two cards around, but, since I ultimately could have grabbed one more card, it would not have made a difference as the card I grabbed would have been available to grab without spending tokens to grab... plus the card I used was not very helpful anyway.
