One of the major updates brought by VSDC 7.1 is the Color twist effect upgrade. Not only does it allow for faster and more intuitive color grading, but it's also now easily accessible from the Basic effects window.
In a nutshell, the Color Twist effect works well for the same purposes as the LUT editor. For example, you can use it to quickly change warm color tones to cool color tones or apply color inversion.
