Having a pencil skirt pattern is a great start for many other knit skirts. If you have a bodycon skirt in your closet, you can trace around it and keep it for future references.
Note: When you minus 1/4" from the waist,hips or bottom of skirt keep in mind that this number can be larger or smaller. The stretchier the fabric the larger this number needs to be. Otherwise your skirt will be too loose and hang kind of awkwardly. The subtraction of the 1" from the waist band is actually 1/4" multiplied by 4. So whatever you decided to take away from the waist,hips, bottom of skirt be sure to multiply that number by 4 and subtract from waist band length. Otherwise your waist band and skirt won't match up.
