WHAT IS THE POLICE WRITTEN EXERCISE?
As part of Stage 3a of the Police Online Assessment Centre, you’ll take on the role of a Police Constable and complete a written task. You’ll receive materials such as emails, complaint letters or internal memos and must respond appropriately — usually in the form of a report or briefing.
HOW LONG DOES IT LAST?
The Police Written Exercise lasts approximately 40–45 minutes, including reading and writing time.
HOW WILL YOU BE ASSESSED?
You will be assessed against the Competency and Values Framework (CVF):
