Hey guys, welcome back to the channel. So am a little bit behind my usual upload schedule, this piece took so much longer than I intended it to be.
Everytime I tell myself, today I'm going to paint something chill, that requires no planning but these always ends up the most time consuming and unrelaxing.
For this piece, I wanted to try something a little different. I've always loved nature in its untouched form. Wildflowers or an untamed garden. Where chaos and beauty clash and births a blend of mix matched foliage, with a diversity of colors and random flowers that bloom by will.
Each and every plant brings an element of surprise as to how it found its way into this cluster of wild plants. So much more backstory compared to a manicured lawn.
And that was the direction I wanted to go with this painting. Just leaves everywhere, of different types and colors. I wish you could see this in real life, there was so much depth and layers to this piece that I never want to hold a paintbrush again. For about a week or so.
I first started by trying to sketch the skeleton of it so I have a structure to work with. But that was soon out of the window, and I just pretty much freestyled by inserting the foliage part by part via grid.
Anyway, I actually really liked how this turned out. Behind the scenes, I had to touch up a few branches here and there but at least the painting is 99.99% complete. Hope you'll like painting too, it's listed on Etsy, link in description. Hence, without further ado, let's begin
