How to paint a blackberry with watercolor! I used all Holbein watercolor paints, Holbein Gold Round brushes and Holbein masking fluid pen and white ibis watercolor paper.

I used Permanent Violet and Shadow Green as the main mixture for the blackberry color. I mixed a black with Quinacridone Red and Shadow Green for the space between the berry bumps. I used a light wash on Quin Red on parts of the berry and Ultramarine Light and Cobalt Turquoise Light for the highlights. I used the Holbein masking pen to preserve my whites for the highlights and a small amount of Chinese White mixed with some color on my palette and Burnt Sienna for the tiny little hairs at the end. The shadow is with Ultramarine Light and Burnt Sienna and then some of the black mixture as well.
All my colors are Holbein watercolor and I use Holbein Gold Round brushes. The paper is White Ibis.
