There are two ways to measure for a tire cover:
Manual Measurement: Use a tape measure to find the tire’s diameter by measuring from the top center to the bottom center of the tire. Then, measure the width from sidewall to sidewall.
Tire Size Reference: Locate the tire size printed on the sidewall (for example, 225/75R15) and refer to a tire size chart or calculator to determine which cover size you need. In this example, that tire would use a size S27–30 cover.
If you have a tandem axle setup, measure the axle spacing by checking the distance from the center of one hub to the other. If the spacing is greater than 35 inches, use two single tire covers instead of a tandem model for the best fit.
