Not sure how to open a lock without the key? Try melting it with a gas torch! Today we show you how to melt a padlock with a gas torch in less than three minutes. It was easy. The Master lock padlock casing was made out of brass which melts at approximately 1700 degrees Fahrenheit. The flame on our basic blow torch produces a max temperature of 1900 degrees Fahrenheit. Using simple math you can see the padlock never stood a chance against the gas torch. The gas torch ended up melting the lock very easily.
