How To Modify The Aerogarden Grow Light Step By Step
I was reading on a few forums about people changing out the sockets on the Aerogarden so that you could use cheaper and more powerful CFL bulbs that you can buy at any store. The original Aerogarden lights are a little weak and sometimes produce leggy plants. This modification will give you the option of using more powerful bulbs depending on how demanding the plant your growing is.
You can use this method with any Aerogarden model with a few adjustments.
I used two 42 watt CFL bulbs which is the biggest I could fit. At the end of the video I show a Red Robin tomato plant that has been in the system 3 weeks. The bulbs I used do give off more heat but as you can see after a 3 week trial that things have gone very well.
I hope this helps with your grow! - Sleestak
