NYC CNC | How to Mill a Sphere with Fusion 360 | Tormach 1100MX VS. DATRON Neo @nyccnc | Uploaded August 2020 | Updated October 2024, 10 hours ago.
Milling spheres isn't particularly difficult but there are so many ways to do it. Let's go over several different milling strategies in Fusion 360 and see how each one affects the surface finish of the parts on the Tormach 1100MX. Then, we'll see what the DATRON Neo can do. Finally, we'll go back to the Tormach 1100MX and machine one last sphere, using everything we've learned to get the best possible surface finish. The side-by-side comparison is pretty darn impressive. It's all about making the most with the machine you have!
