For songwriters it can be difficult to match a lyric to your melody, especially if they don’t both start out together. Even if you do get an idea that contains both lyrics and melody, you can still run into plenty of problems as you develop that idea.
In this video, I talk about how to match lyrics to your melody and cover the main elements that they have in common, pitch and rhythm, I also look at these in the context of a song, because they don’t work independently, they interact with each other when it comes to the songwriting process.
