Today I’ll update an existing garage door opener with HomeKit compatibility and Siri voice commands. Using the Chamberlain MyQ HomeBridge along with a LiftMaster 888LM MyQ Control Panel, I bring an older garage door opener into the future with HomeKit! Finally I can ask Siri to open my garage door instead of fumbling with the remote control. If your garage door is manufactured after 1998, I’ll show you how to do the same! “Hey Siri, open my garage door…” Like magic!
